September Harvest Full
Corn. The Staff of Life. The Corn Full Moon was a signifier of corn harvest for the Indigenous people of North and South America. There are 250 kinds of “Indian Corn” in the Americas, and they are used to make many different foods; dumplings, tamales, hominy, and breads. Corn was so important, many nations celebrated the harvest with feasts, celebration, dance, and song! Still today it is popular to bead earrings that symbolize corn!
