September Corn Full Moon
Corn. The Staff of Life. The Corn Full Moon was a signifier of corn harvest for the Indigenous people of North and South America. There are 250 kinds of “Indian Corn” in the Americas, and they are used to make many different foods; dumplings, tamales, hominy, and breads. Corn was so important, many nations celebrated the harvest with feasts, celebration, dance, and song! Still today it is popular to bead earrings that symbolize corn!
This soap was made during the Corn Full Moon in September. Corn Silk was “steeped” in the water mixture then used to make the moons. The second part or “outer” soap was made with moon beam water; I place water in glass jars under the full moon to be purified and super charged by the moon beams. This soap is scent free.
